On Saturday, 23 October, for the first team game V Evesham, we were privileged to welcome back a real 'Barkers' old boy' Donald Loone. Donald, now aged 90, played at Barkers Butts School, then, playing with the likes of Don 'Sugar' Sheward and John Gardner, played against local teams like Evesham in the 1940's.
Donald now lives in Norwich but was up for the weekend showing family his favourite Coventry places so of course Barkers' was included. Donald was able to chat to some of the other old boys, meet the current players and even managed to walk away with a Barkers tie and gillet (thanks Gar!)
